About the Company

Lawton Real Estate a subsidiary of MPL Real Estate, Inc. with Michael Lawton as its principal. Our office is a full service commercial real estate brokerage firm, specializing in the leasing, management and sale of all types of commercial properties.

Lawton Real Estate is located in Brea at 110 W. Fir Street. Brea is one of North Orange County’s premier cities of note.

 

I. The Team

The Lawton firm personnel consist of one administrative assistant, one marketing specialist and two agents specializing in brokerage and management activities.

II. Michael Lawton

Michael Lawton has been a familiar face with business and property owners throughout Brea, La Habra, Whittier and North Orange County for over 20 years. He has been active in their Chambers of Commerce and is currently the 2008 President of the Brea Chamber of Commerce and a former Board of Director for both the La Habra and Whittier Chambers. He is also an active Board Member of The St. Jude Memorial Foundation.

Michael has been a licensed real estate agent since 1975 and a licensed real estate broker since 1990. He has a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego.

He is also a designated CCIM member.  Less than 1% of commercial real estate professionals in the world hold the CCIM designation.  This designation is awarded upon successful completion of graduate level education curriculum plus the institute’s Comprehensive Exam and presentation of a comprehensive qualifying industry experience portfolio.  Of the 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners in North America, only about 9,500 currently hold this CCIM designation.  Less than 1 percent of commercial real estate professionals in the world hold the CCIM designation.  Of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners in North America, more than 9,500 currently hold the CCIM designation with only 135 in California.

Michael and his wife, Setsko, reside at their home in La Habra.

 

Michael has represented dozens of businesses and property owners in various leases and sales of commercial property throughout the area. Michael and his team of assistants specialize in leases, sales, property management and marketing buildings for property owners who need tenants and representing tenants who need new and quality locations. Buyers and sellers are also represented by the firm for shopping centers, office buildings, industrial buildings, land and apartment buildings.

V. Landlord Representation

Our firm will help find quality tenants, whether you are an owner of substantial income producing property or an individual property owner of a smaller property. We will take advantage of available technologies and our extensive industry network to track qualified prospective tenants. VI. Tenant Representation

Using all available resources and a natural instinct for opportunity, We will help identify and evaluate prime opportunities, taking into account factors such as the tenant's criteria for location, demographics, size, cost and income.
